Downstairs

We have hung a few pictures and added a few touches, but, again, not many changes.

Our bedroom and bathroom. I bought the fabric for the chair, the bedskirt and the bathroom curtains all this week. I also finally finished stuffing the small hassock. I plan to make an accent pillow for the bed, a cushion for the rocker and, eventually, a small quilted throw for the end of the bed.

Hall, guest room, guest bath

I haven't made a lot of changes in these rooms since the last photos, but here they are for completeness sake.

Our Open House

My sewing room is finally organized. It may not look like it, but this is a vast improvement!

Furniture but (almost) no pictures on the walls.

Well, our furniture finally arrived and we have been busy ever since. We finally have the furniture arranged how we want it in most rooms. We have very little on the walls, though. I'm struggling with where to put stuff that we used to have stored in the basement. But most of the house is liveable now and people have been asking for pictures so I took some today. Enjoy!

Holding pattern

It seems that our furninture that was loaded up last weekend, will arrive around the 14th of February. I was hoping it would be sooner. Who else is crazy enough to move at this time of year?! :-)

We have a smattering of furniture and dishes etc.. here in Olympia, but if we did move over there, it would be more like camping out. Gregg is not too keen on the idea.

Today the Internet and cable get hooked up. And I plan to request our mailbox key. I might even cook a meal over there.

We are trying to decide what window treatments we want to put up. There is such a variety out there.

I'll try to remember to take good pictures today.

It's official!

We have the keys to our new home! We closed on the exact date that was on our contract. The movers started loading our furniture that was in storage today and they will finish and get on the road tomorrow. That gives us some time to get some projects done at the house before we are inundated with boxes.

I don't know how much more I'm going to blog now that the house is built. But I will probably continue until I have some decent pictures of how things look when we are finally moved in.
